History

The History of Pizza Etc

On May 12th, 1986, Hladik brothers Mike and Paul Sr opened up Pizza Etc on the corner of Rowland and Geyser Road in the old Cumberland Farms plaza. It started out as a small operation with only a few employees and their wives Susan and Donna. Paul Sr's sixteen year old son Paul Jr worked after school as a dish washer and oven man.

At that time Geyser Road was fairly young. Business development had not started and residential developments had just begun. Our main business came from Quad Graphics, Ball Metal and the Kesselring site along with residents of Geyser Crest and surrounding areas. Over the next few years housing increased and our popularity grew. We had always worked hard at serving a consistent, quality product to our customers. Customer service has been a major area of concern and the way we cook in front of the public has been productive and entertaining to some. People like to see us work and prepare their food.

In 1989 Mike, Paul Sr and Paul Jr opened up a new location in Wilton.  They named it Pizza Etc 2 and it was operated by Paul Jr.  It became a very good location and was a staple amoung the people of Wilton.  The Wilton location operated from December 12, 1989 until the end of 2002 when the three of us decided to sell.

In May of 2002, Paul Sr decided it was time to retire and sold his interst in the business to Paul Jr.  Mike and Paul Jr decided to build a new building to start fresh and thus began the next generation of Pizza Etc.  The new building was built next door to the old location but, with more space and a larger menu.  We added deep fryers, a seperate dough room and an office to do our paper work in. The employees all stayed and moved with us.

In the spring of 2011 we will be celebrating our 25th year in business!!  Thanks to all the customers that have eaten a slice of Pizza Etc.
